I've been podcasted

Written by Adrian Holovaty on September 26, 2005

Andrew DeVigal over at Interactive Narratives interviewed me for a podcast. We talked about online journalism, Web development, interactivity, Django and some other stuff. It's also available as a plain MP3.

Hi Adrian, you do not sound like what i though, your voice does not match your picture! In a good way that is!!

Anyway dude have a question for you, did you use a different google map api for each section of your site, to accommodate the hits? And if you didn’t, can this still be done, cause i'm sure the api is set at the directory level, right?

Also have google got back to you about your request for an increase of hits to your google map.

Cheers

Andy

Andrew: I believe Google Maps has removed its page-view limit. And I'm running each map on chicagocrime.org through the same map, at the same URL, using an <iframe>, to accomodate for the per-directory limitation. Feel free to look at the code by viewing source.
