Batten winner!

Written by Adrian Holovaty on September 13, 2005

Today, chicagocrime.org won Grand Prize in the Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism.

I'm very excited, because it means I'll have more resources to add features to the site -- and to create more sites serving the people of Chicago.

I'd hoped to have launched my sequel to chicagocrime.org in time for the Batten Awards today, but it's not done yet. Soon.

Congrats, Adrian! Our web designer here (who's also an MU grad) told us when she got a listserv message about it. I certainly think you more than deserved the award.

Congratulations Adrian. A well deserved award. I look forward to when you can offer this web app to newspapers (hint, hint) ;+)

Hey Eric: It is indeed available to newspapers! Wilson and I have decided on a standard pricing and are starting to work with clients to set up their sites. Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested.
